3pt hitch not moving up and down properly

3pt lift not moving up and down properly on my farm pro 2420 tractor after a washer blew and lost hydraulic fluid. Ive replaced washer and fluid but now the lever for the three pt hitch is very hard to raise and lower it doesnt lower slow just slams to the ground. any ideas?:confused3:

I think you're gonna at least need an operator's manual - sounds like you maybe have a second lever for the 3-point hitch (3PH around here) that controls DRAFT - on some tractors, you EITHER use draft lever OR lift lever. On one of mine, the draft lever needs to be all the way down to use the lift lever properly.

Draft control, if you have it, senses LOAD on the 3-point and raises or lowers the implement briefly if the load gets too great, then lowers it again to your preset depth. Usually used for plows, etc, to keep the tractor from bogging down when things get tough.

An operator's manual should at least tell you whether your tractor has that feature, and how to use it... Steve
