Hi,

I just want to check if this is normal, my 3PH drops about 2"/hour when a load of 350lb is lifted. The tractor is bought with 35 hours on it (2011 model)
My 30 years old Iseki doesn't. Perhaps this is normal for a BX???
Perhaps another owner can tell me how his BX works?

thanxs in advance,
Adryan

Hopefully you mean engine is not running.

Mine does the same when I leave it set for a while or overnight always has. I just got into the habit of lowering it.

Not sure if your issue is that the hitch lowers when the engine is off or that it lowers slowly with the engine on and in operation. In any case, there should be a round knob directly below your seat that can be turned in and out. This is the "rate of drop" adjusting valve and controls how fast the 3PH will drop with any weight on it. Closing it (turning it in) will lock the 3PH in whatever position you leave it at. If that doesn't work, you have a leak in the 3PH valve or internal to the piston (likely a seal). However, it is normal for the hitch to drop some over time when there is weight on it unless you locked it as outlined above.

It is when 3ph is set to height and engine is on or off (doesn't make a difference because 3ph has no height control, only 1/4" valve)
I'll try to turn the knob and see if it makes any difference

this is why it drops. 1/4" valve. all tractors i run with 1/4" valve 3ph drop slowly. when i bush hog with mine, it will drop slowly and i have to bump it up every 20 minutes or so. this is the downfall to a 1/4" valve. i take it that your other tractor has a position control 3ph. poistion control 3ph will maintain their height when the tractor is running.

if you shut that knob off it will help keep it up but will need to keep messing with that knob if you want to adjust the 3ph height. it is normal for a 1/4" valve 3ph to "bleed" off over time.
