Hi all, not sure where to start, my dad is restoring an old AR(wide front) to show condition. I know the front wheel bearings/races are shot. I know he has been concentrating on pulling the motor and rebuilding, and hasn't got around to the little parts to get it rolling again. I was thinking if I could pick up a couple bearings I could sneak out there and throw the wheels back on for his birthday surprise. I have no idea what the numbers might be and although he has a parts catalogue I don't think I could find it without raising suspicion. He did one time mention the wheels/bearings are the same from the same vintage "D". Would someone out there be able to help me with the numbers? Thanks

Your freindly neighborhood 'green' dealer will likely know exactly what bearings are needed..

I thought about that, but he is basically on a first name basis now that he hangs out there so much. He is doing a meticulous job on this one, I sure hope it runs like the top he wants it to be. He has located some of the most bizarre parts right on the shelf of our local JD dealership, it really helps when the parts manager has been there for 30yrs. He needed new head bolts and although they had to bring in a couple more, they had a couple new ones sitting right there on the shelf. They had been there for who knows how long. But you sure pay for that kind of thing!

Yep.. I hear that the green pigment in the paint comes from ground up recycled money... and not 1's 5's or 10's.. i think they only accept 20's and up for grinding into paint pigment, judging from their prices!
