3720 tractor with 300cx loader and 47 backhoe

How good is this tractor? I have decided to get the 3720 with the 300cx loader and 47 backhoe. I will be getting this tractor as soon as the economy gets a little better. Are there any problems with this machine. I figured a little more power will be better for the snowblower. Thanks to all that can help. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yes that is what they offer for it. That is from JD website. all 3000's use 47's. Sorry 447.

447 for 3720

OK, now get bids with the 448. If you have to scale back to the 447, OK, but the 447 can ONLY be used on a midchassis, the 448 can go on the 4000 series

I hear ya, But the 2000.00 more is a bit much for me. I'm thinking the 447 should be ok. I'm only using is to dig out tree stumps in my yard. Do you think it will work ok?

Hi all, couple things. Yes the 448 will work on the 3x20 series tractors . If you go to the JD web site and configure the 448 hoe to attach to the 3x20 series tractors the price diff. goes from $2000 to $1000 (there abouts). Almost easier to swallow goin with the bigger 448.

So you don't think the 447 will work out? 2000,00 more for the 448 can go for payments. Can someone explain the difference other then digging depth. I will not be digging no more then 6 feet and the 447 digs to 7 feet 8 inces.

Hi Deere3120, I think for what you want the hoe for , the 447 would be fine. The 448 hoe is heavier and digs deeper than the 447. The 448 was designed with the 4x20 series in mind, however it can be configured to fit on the 3x20 series and cheaper at that. There are many members on this site that run the bigger hoes on their mid frames.

I am almost postive my dealer gave me the quote on the 447. I will have to check. Money is tight so I don't want to spend more then I have to right now.
