Thought I would share this- I finally broke one of the bolts that hold the swing chains and when I did it broke 1 piece of 1 of the links. If anybody has dealt with the maker's of these hoes, you know all they want to sell is a complete unit of whatever you need when you only need a small piece! I could not find exact part but found that #100 links will work. bought 2 master links for 5 bucks. It didn't matter that they were longer since broken link was right on the end. After reinstalling I noticed that since chain was wore, the swing cyl. was turned down so it could wear the chain out faster! I then mounted a piece of angle across under lower chain block to keep cly. level with chain. Only had to drill 2 holes, was not a hard install, works fine, there is really no pressure on the angle. Also when I had it apart, found that 2 more of the bolts were broke and 1 was bent. This hoe is on a 3215 gear, you would not believe what I have done with this machine!!! Aaron

Hello, Aaron. Welcome to TBN, and the Mahindra forum. What size bucket do you have on your hoe, and what have you dug with it?

How bout some pics of your mods. Heck even some pics of your tasks.
Who did you try getting the chain links from? Mahindra or KMW?

I think bucket is 14 or 16"? want a smaller one, think anything else will fit? KMW wanted to sell whole chain, just like every thing else. I bent bucket cly. shaft and of course they wanted to sell whole cly. I had a shaft made, ordered a seal kit from them and they sent the wrong one, they have the numbers wrong on this part. I put cly. back together with old seals and it is fine! I broke small plastic part in wobble stick control and they wanted to sell whole control unit. I made a piece but I'v got a lot of play, I wana try and find out if anything else is the same. KMW does not make all these parts! Aaron

Aaron, I have the 12" bucket. It is a good size unless you have to dig in clay at the wrong time. When that is the case, the clay will stick like crazy, and you will have to dig it out of the bucket with a shove. Not very productive.

It sounds like you've really been mean to that poor hoe. :)
