I recently bought the new 3700SU on Memorial Day weekend. At the time I was ordering it from the local dealer they told me the backhoe mounting frame was on backorder from Kubota and would be in at the end of June. I did receive the tractor w/FEL, a rear mount 68"snowblower, and landscape rake as the initial 0% financing deal and have a separate quote and open purchase order with Kubota for the backhoe at the same 0% financing. So it's now July and I call the dealer and they tell me that the bh mounting frame from Kubota is now backordered through the end of August. The dealer has the backhoe supposedly, just not the mounting frame. Has anyone else experienced this? This seems ridiculous that Kubota wouldn't have these. Other than that the 3700 is a really nice machine and suits my needs. This is just taking some of the fun out of owning it as a portion of a fully functioning product.

I've been waiting on a front mount snow blower for a 4240 for about a month and a half. Plus because it's driven off the middle PTO and I'm not close to the dealer I'm waiting for the blower to come in so it can be installed before it gets delivered.
My take is that Kubota builds the attachments depending on the season. For example I'm guessing in the fall they are busy building the things that will sell well in the spring. Come spring/ early summer they are building things like snow blowers. Some things they probably build all the time but the amount of mfg time is rationed because of seasonal needs. But that's my guess.

I think Kubota is caught a little behind the eight ball right now, I beleive that most of their tractor sales have been way slow for a couple years and they had cut way back on their manufacturing to try to get costs down and to try to move some of their existing inventory. When they brought back the 0% for 60 mo. a while back I don't think they were really prepared for the sales volume that ensued. Kubota has a lot of interchangeabilty within different tractor lines, i.e. hoes, mowers ect. but each different application will use a different subframe/ mount/ bracket kit/ canooter valve/ ect. to fit. I think they have a lot of tractors to sell but are short on a lot of canooter valves and mounting kits. My new tractor was held up for about six weeks waiting on a MMM, but my dealer did some horse trading and begging to get a deck from another dealer, because Kubota couldn't come up with one.

I got my new M8540 in about 4 weeks. It was special order. I do however have some items that didn't make it.

It has been about 8 weeks and I am still waiting for those parts. Not a big deal for me, but it is frustrating. I'm glad nothing major held up the tractor itself.
