Seven hour bushhog job, a/c quits about one hour into the job. I keep cutting at the sixth hour tractor shuts down. 89 outside must be 120 in my greenhouse. Restart tractor runs 3 to 4 seconds then dies. Restarts fine then dies. To keep this short after many many restarts I get loaded unloaded and back in barn. The glow plug lamp that lights each time the key is turned is not lit. Checked and cleaned cables ground and battery, and while in battery area checked a group of fuses and found the dash panel 10amp blown. Replaced fuse, glow plug lamp lights up! Bingo fires right up and continue to run as normal. I am the smartest man alive! Fixed! I drive around to take the bushhog off and turn the a/c blower from high to low BAM tractor cuts off! I know something caused that to blow but I replace two more without touching the a/c even turned back to high and then off. Put 15amp fuse, didn't blow but still will not run more than 4 seconds. I don't think it is fuel because it ran for 30 min after first fuse was replaced...any help would be great..I did call the dealer for suggestions, and they had none and have a two week backlog before I get on the book. And they are a two hour ride. Any thoughts or suggestions would be great! thanks

Hi Chubby, my first shot at it would be to find what is causing the fuses to blow. I would be looking for a wire with the insulation worn through and causing a short.

Most likely you will need a new glow plug box. Check how much your alternator is putting out also

Alt good, glow plug relay good, battery good pretty sure a/c quit blowing cold because of both screens, rad, hydro cooler and a/c where plugged with natures finest byproduct. Which I did blow out and the a/c seemed cool when it was running after the first fuse replacement...So my next step is to pull a/c controls and see what is in that area....found nothing wrong on any of the wiring..and I am a good looker..I found why grappler didn't close in a crazy area so I have been looking...any other ideas please fire away...I was hoping Dave would pop on here and say he has some 3616 with a/c issues and tell me where to look!

Did more checking, looks like fuel stop solenoid is not working properly. It has two wires on it, one to pull closed and one to keep it closed. Put a jumper wire and all is good. A/c works fine and tractor runs good. Pull the jumper off and dies. So I guess the fuel stop solenoid is my issue. Now my only issue is the book only shows one wire coming out of fuel stop but I have two...this tractor only has 380 hrs. Is Dave's tractor out there? Throw an ole country boy some knowledge...lol

Usually the stop solenoid is only affected and not the cause.. id test light everything back inline to the switch to be sure its not getting the power relayed to the solenoid... iv had one were it was just a key switch that was not converting the 12v back to 6 to run

I wish I had read this posr earlier today. $229 for the fuel stop solenoid. When I ran a jumper all worked. But did not check the key and even had it out when I was checking the breaker on top of I/Panel. I just put it all back togther. But thank you for the tip I will check out. I had two of these Mitsubeshi motors in two old cub cadets and put 1700 hrs without issue. The main reason why I bought this tractor. Issue free but high maint. cost. Like my exwife!

Chubby, I'm having the same issue as you are. Whats the status on your problem now?

Replaced fuel stop solenoid. Expensive and first one I ever replaced. How many hours on yours? Almost 400 on mine. Took 3 weeks to obtain.
