I saw a toolcat 5600t on ebay for 35k, its a 2006 with less than 500 hours and has a lot of options. I was wondering if you think it's a good deal or not. It is a little bit of a hike from me but it might be worth a trip. Plus I ever saw one with rear hydralics and high flow before, that would take on just about any attachment...

I see one on machinery trader with 60 hours. Maybe give them a call and get a comparable.

Some items missing on the ebay one; no rear lights, no headache rack and no road kit. Depending on your use those may be necessary. I know I use the rear lights a lot and am very glad I have the headache rack. I don't have the road kit but often wish I did. 475 hours on this model tells me it was used commercially. It does look clean but I would inquire what the use was from.

What is your planned use for the Toolcat?

I was thinking I would not need the road kit, when do you wish you had it? and what is a headache rack?

I was referring to the rear window guard as the headache rack. In addition to protecting the rear window I sometimes hang chains from it, hook bungy cords to hold 5-gal pails, hook straps to hold a 65-gal leg tank used for watering trees, etc.

I run between two homes that are on the same acreage on a regular basis. It is much quicker to run along the roadway and I don't have to worry whether the ground is soft. I also mow along the road regularly and push/blow snow on both the driveways as well as for a neighbor occassionally. I do have an SMV emblem attached to the rear window guard but you only see that when you are close. One of my neighbors gave me a flashing yellow light and suggested that I get a magnetic mount which I plan to do.

I started not to purchase the road kit on my 2006 TC but am very glad I did. I often cruise down the shoulder of highway and the cops never bother me. And in my opinion everyone needs the rack to protect all that glass in the rear. I have a loaded TC with 300+ hours that I'm going be placing on e-bay soon for 35K, if you don't buy this one let me know?

I can't say if that is a good deal or not, but for comparison, I recently bought a new 2006 TC with everything mentioned except the high-flow and rear hydraulics for $33K. I don't know if I'll need the extra flow or hydraulics in the future, but I feel like I got a great deal, as well as a great trade-in on my old JD CUT.

Laurel Mountain Eqipment in PA had an 06 with turbo rear hyd and high flow for 27,700 in fact that looks like the picture. Bill is the guys name that own Laurel MNT EQIP. I just bought a 06 turbo with high flow delivered with 160 hrs on it for 27K in December right after I got it he got in another one the one with rear Hydro Im sure that is the same one in your auction pick either that guy bought it to sell or he's listing it and if he sells it he would get it from Bill. Anyway when I got mine it was in perfect shape, they were easy to deal with he order me a new manual . I would buy another piece of equipment from him. He lists his stuff on ONLINETRADER.COM
35K is too much.
