Going with a friend to look at as 1997 Ford 3550 it has a 3 cyl. diesal motor a FEL an the tractor has 3800 hrs. on it. Is there any thing we should look for that goes wrong with particular model? Is this to many hrs.?

it is not a 97 model maybe a 77 model but just check all the pins, the pto, and clutch all the usual stuff they was some pretty good tractors in there dat

post a pic and the #'s from the trans bellhousing aft of the starter to help us ID it for you exactly.
