John Deere 3520 Cab
I'm in western Washington (Monroe). I got a quote on a 3520 deluxe cab:

3520 - Deluxe cab, ehydro, mid pto, R1s, dual mid & single rear scv, telescoping draft links, iMatch, electric diverter kit, power beyond, third selective control, top n tilt, rear work light, automotive style cruise etc., back up alarm, horn, tool box, air suspension seat, cab speakers, cd player/clock, rear wiper, mid pto control - 31,400

300 cx loader - deluxe hood guard, 61 inch heavy duty bucket - 4,000

375 backhoe - 13 inch bucket - 6,850

72" field mower 1500, forks 799, box blade 799 (don't know brands)

Quote sound good?

Oh, and zero down, 0% over 60 months financing.

Seems pretty good to me- let me know if you actually get that 0% 60- I have a 3520 cab on the way and they thought I could get the same rate as you but they said Deere is only offering that on the 4000 series.

Interesting. That's what the other dealer I went to showed me on his financing sheet. I wonder if different dealers get different rates.

The other dealer also quoted me on a 4-in-1 bucket, this dealer said it can't be configured that way, it would have to be aftermarket.

Yes the do, the rates are apparently offered in regions. I found on the WEB, a dealer in CT, that was offering different rates than in the VA area. i don't live in neither but i look all ove the place for deals and that I thought was quite interesting.

I like everything you chose for your tractor, however I would nix the backup alarm..... my friends 110 TLB came with it, we tried to put duct tape on the alarm to quiet it down, then we just completly cut it... it is so ear piercing it drove everybody nuts... when it was working, we almost tried not to go in reverse so we didn't have to hear it...HAHA... It would be nice if backup alarms came with an On/Off switch, but when I need to use my tractor late at night, say plowing snow, that's the last thing the neighbors want to hear.....

IMO, do you NEED all those toys & trinkets? I think that price is high...Yes, I'm a do it yourselfer who grew up on a farm so I'm not scared of tractors & equipment. But I KNOW I can outfit my 3520 myself with all the options listed for much less then you quoted....even at that, most everything is off the shelf so no "self engineering" is required...
Something as simple as the stereo...
-JD Radio Mount Kit: $80.00
-JD Delco AM/FM/CD: $285.00
When I got my tractor I got JUST the mount and swung over to best buy and got a really nice Kenwood unit which does MP3's and Satelitte Radio on clearance for $99.00

-3rd SCV: 250.00 and about 3 hours of my time...
-Rear Worklights: 80.00 and about 15 minutes of my time

Automotive Cruise units go on eBay for 80.00 and from hearing about it...would take about 10 minutes to install and 5 minutes to configure the computer.

TnT: I dont have one myself, but CCM machine has really nice ones for less then JD...

You can get a nicely configured 3520 Cab for WAYYYYYY less money then that...my whole package was less then just the price you were quoted on the tractor alone...

Spudland, Need? :D

The 3rd SCV is $260 fitted, auto cruise $89 fitted, rear lights $117 fitted. Now I certainly hear ya on the stereo, that was impulse (and actually the CD version is $683). I could certainly go get a stereo from Best Buy, but time is not something I have a lot of, I may think of dropping it all together though since its a frill item.

Now as I loaded this thing up I was trying to justify every piece, in the end it came down to this: I really don't have a lot of time and if I found later that I would need to have a "kit" fitted to use some piece of equipment I would either have to get the dealer to do it at great cost (and with cash) or pass on the new equipment e.g. I don't plan to get an MMM and I don't think I need a snow blower, but without mid PTO if I ever change my mind on that it would be a big PITA. So I loaded all the functional stuff. Is this irrational? I'm certainly no tractor expert

I'll drop the back up alarm (that's $99! :D )

Looking at the quote, I got 10% discount on tractor and better than 10% on the loader and backhoe, which I understand is not a bad deal reading this site. So I guess its all down to the options.

Actually, I just noticed the rear lights and wiper are supposed to be part of the deluxe cab so I shouldn't have them called out on my quote. I can't find the decription of whats extra in the deluxe cab anymore to assess whether it is worth it over the standard - the only place that says anything is the configurator and it just says rear wiper and lights. That can't be right, the cab is $1300 more and those options total $356. Anyone got a link to info on the deluxe cab? It used to be right there but they changed the layout.

/ 3520 Deluxe Cab quote #10
I Think The deluxe also includes the Mid-Pto and Air Ride Seat, and that would seem to justify the difference in price... However, Do get a Radio... It makes the cab that much more enjoyable...

When I bought my 3720 Cab, I made sure I got all the extras too, so in case I needed them later.... like the Mid-Pto, Extra Lines to the Loader, and Electric Diverter Kit etc.

LOL...you got me there cause I didnt NEEED a 3520 Cab for my lot either...but it sure is handy!
Like they say...time IS money. I'm the kinda guy who likes to get dirty to begin with so its more fun then anything adding options. The Deere instructions they provide are actually better then what comes with some Chinese electronics :p
I dont plan on a MMM either and same for the front snow blower...I'm going to be getting a rear Blower shortly and if I ever needed a mower I'd buy a RFM.
Stereo....the dealer installed my Kenwood for me before delivery for free...search previous threads for all the info you need.

Deluxe...I didnt think it included Air-Ride, but I could be wrong...things I'm pretty sure it comes with:
-Rear SCV
-Rear Wiper
-Rear Work Lights
-Mid PTO
-Radio Mount Kit w/Radio

OK I pulled the trigger. I dropped the backup alarm and telescoping draft links (dealer said I could add anytime and I wouldn't need them with i-match). Got the deluxe cab thing sorted out, mid pto, rear wiper, lights, and rear scv part of deluxe. He has a standard cab on the lot (3 hours) which he is speccing up to deluxe plus the other options AND the 4 in 1 bucket ($2500 on top for that but I think it will be worth it) :D $43,075 for TLB.

I'm going to have to work this thing for it to earn its keep

Nope that is an $400 option you can select, it is not part of the deluxe cab.

Enjoy your new tractor! I would love to hear how you like the backhoe. After shopping for about 2 years, I found a 2 year old 3520 with cab & 300CX loader 6 months ago. It was listed on TractorHouse.com

According to 2007 literature, "Deluxe Cab" implies mid PTO, Mid DSCV & single rear SCV. Also requires eHydro. Mine came with cruise control, standard R3 turfs, and hood guard. I had to add rear work lights and outside mirrors. Mine didn't have air ride seat or rear wiper; they must be options. The standard seat seems to be fine.

I paid $21,900. It had about 240 hours when I picked it up. So far, have put about 30 hours on it moving snow with loader and backblade - it worked very well. Also picked up a 5' rear tiller for the garden. Next year, would like to get a Frontier 7' snow pusher for the loader; also would like to get a rear finish mower.

I have been very, very satisfied with this tractor!

You might want to check to make sure the tool box is compatible with the cab. It seems like there was a issue with it when i bought mine.

My understanding is that there are three places it can on an open cab, but on the cab it goes on the side down and forward of the door. But I will check next I go in. Thanks

Yooper68, sounds like a great deal you got there. I'm glad the tractor is working out for you. If it were not for the financing deals that you get now I think I would have been looking at used tractors too - they're built to last so I don't see any reason not to.

when looking at the JD configurator, for the deluxe cab, it indicated that you must select additional options including Mid PTO, whch you pay for. The Deluxe can is a $7k+ option and then it says the following:

Includes Rear Wiper and Rear Work Light.
Requires Option codes 2025 (eHydro), 2505 (Mid PTO) and
7020(Mid DSCV and Single Rear SCV). "Deluxe" Implies Mid
PTO, Mid DSCV, and Single Rear SCV.

Even though it says "implies", if you don't select it and try to select a Mower, it won't work.

Mid PTO 2505 $400.00

One big thing for the deluxe is that it comes wired for other options like rear work lights, rear wiper, auto cruise, etc.

Yep, one thing is for sure, that configurator is confusing. I recall that it was a lot easier (as in actually possible) to determine what you got extra as part of the deluxe cab, but then they changed the web site so it only lists standard options and on the configurator it just mentions rear wiper and lights. That can't be right, it just doesn't add up. In the end my dealer is speccing a standard cab up to deluxe, it turns out to be cheaper, but that may be due to the fact it is on his lot.

Prowley; Yeah, I think the only thing I got charged for was the Mid-PTO, the rest was include? The charge was less than 300 bucks from what I remember.
