Hi guys and gals!

It's been a while since I've posted. Goes to show how well the 3510 holds up :)

I was wondering how to get more oompf out of the front hydraulics.

Is there an upgraded pump, or how do you raise the pressure?

I often run at higher rpms just so I don't fall asleep waiting for the 112 bucket to go up and down

Thanks!

How is the pump driven on the 3510 ? The one on my 7520 is driven from the front of the crank via the cam gear that is also serving as an idler to get power to the system hyd and P/S pump, alternator, water pump, and fan. The 7520 has a big pump and it applies high load to that gear when at full pressure. My cam gear has broken as a result of this and Mahindra has replaced it with an upgraded part. The 6520 has the same drive arrangement, but a smaller pump - - no problem. It is a weak point that only shows with the big pump. If yours is driven the same way a bigger pump could cause similar problems.

I'm not sure how it's driven, never looked at it :p

I see your point about running a larger pump and the strain. I read about the 4110 having a larger volume pump now (?), here on the forum, and since both are very similar, except for the engine...

If it is front mounted, that would make things very easy. I've been rebuilding JD450's recently and haven't spent much time working on the 3510 at all. It starts every time I want it and does the job I have for it. I'm sort of spoiled for it :)

Does anyone have the specs (shaft diameter and length, port sizes, etc) for the 3510 pump?

Thanks for replying so quickly. My preferences did not have email notification on, so I am a bit slow getting back.

If anyone has upgraded the pump or researched it, please send the info my way!

Thanks!

Put a gage on the pump and see if it is working at full potential. You can check the relief pressure by putting one of the cylinders to full extend.
