35 Ferguson PTO

I have a 35 Ferguson with the 2 stage clutch. My PTO goes in ground and neutral but grinds when I try to put it in engine. It won’t go into engine PTO even with the motor off. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

We had one that did that and I would engage the PTO as the tractor started up. Apparently there was something wrong with the clutch. It would go right into ground but I only used that for spraying applications.

I adjusted the pedal free travel today. It had about 3 inches of travel. Still won’t engage so I’m going to adjust the clutch tomorrow

Well I have the clutch adjusted and didn’t help. Still won’t go into engine pto at all. Any other suggestions?
