3415 vs 3930

This is more of a curiosity question than an "I'm looking at buying one of these" question even though I'd rock a 3930 if I found one I like for the right price.

What was the point of Ford building the 3415's? Even as a kid looking at the in brochures at the Ford dealership when these were new tractors I couldn't figure out why Ford was selling two different models that looked to be direct competitors to one another. The 3930 seems to have a little bit of a weight advantage on the 3415 so I've though maybe the 3415 was intended to be a little less of an ag tractor and just be a less expensive tractor that gave you the same power to run the PTO with, but when I look at the 3415's components they look fairly beefy and certainly not weak. To me its F/R axles and 3PH all look well up to the task of supporting a tractor in its size and HP class.

Anyone here have experience with the 3415? Were they good tractors like your 3910's, 3930's, 4630's, etc were?

3415 4 cyl/135 cid, 38 PTO HP, 4100 lb.

3430 3 cyl/192 cid, 38 PTO HP, 5428 lb.

3930 3 cyl.
Year 1990-95 201 cid, 45 PTO HP, 5446 lb.
Year 1995-99 193 cid, 45 PTO HP, 5446 lb.
Year 1999 193T cid, 52 PTO HP, 5446 lb.

The 3430 is horsepower equivalent to the 3415. The 3415 was offered as an economy, small utility tractor offered through the Shibaura line while the 32, 34, 39 and 4630's were Basildon based like the 3910.
The 3415 was a nice, light tractor that was cheaper than the 30 series units. It had a dual clutch, live PTO, 12x4 transmIssion, 2wd only and position control 3 pt. Basically, it was stripped down, 2wd drive, basic 2120 with prior 10 series styling and features..
