33DA VS. 35DA

A couple of NH machines are on my shortlist for my first tractor purchase (along with Kubota L3130HST) but there seems such little difference in power between the two NH's that I wonder if going the extra distance is worth it. The only significant difference between the two that I can see is the weight. As a novice, can I ask for some comparative guidance between the two machines. I'll order with an FEL and a backhoe. I have 11 acres with a house to move, some woodland to clear, meadows to install a field drain system in before I plough and reseed.

I don't need an answer to this question now. The quotes from the NH dealer gave me a fright so I've opted for a Kubota 3130HST with BH90 backhoe and LA723 FEL. The NH pricing point was quite a surprise.

I bought a TC33DA back in the early summer and found very little difference in the price between it and the Kubota 3130HST but it could be just a regional thing. What I really want to let you know is that the Kubota dealer I talked to strongly suggested I go to a 3730 over the 3130. The 3130 is 30 hp. and since the kubota is much heavier than the NH you end up with less power. He said if I wanted a smaller tractor (frame) also with 30 hp to look at the new B3030. It was a nice tractor but just a little to light for my need. I first thought the guy was just trying to sell me a larger tractor but I talked to a couple of other dealers and a few friends who own kubota's and got the same advice. I wanted a tractor with a smaller frame and that's why I ended up with the NH. It was the last one on his lot and I got a great deal. I have a woods bh and a fel on it and have been real happy. I also have the supersteer and love it especially when working in the woods. Kubota is a great tractor but just be sure to get one that will do the job for you. The difference in price is not as painfull as having a tractor that will not get the job done.
