I am going to look at a 3310 with near 500 hours on it. It's an 03 and looks to be in real good condition. Has 72" mmm and they are asking $10500. My concern is, I 'm used to hydro. This tractor has syncro. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to shift on the fly. My grass grows very unevenly and I like to sail over the low areas and slow down for the heavy ones. Years ago I had a small Kubota with standard trans and got along fine. The dealer is telling me on the phone that it may not be the best choice for me cuz I'm used to the hydro. He says that I may be able to up shift ok but will need to almost stop in order to down shift. IS THIS TRUE? With the shift lever location on the 3310 I wonder if he is right. However, I'm not talking about down shifting like you would in a car.
Also, are they in the ball park for price? I searched this forum and found it to be close.
Thanks for any advise and opinions on the shifting.
