Kawasaki FC540V vertical shaft air cooled engine.
Noticed a oil leak dripping down over the PTO clutch and main drive shiv.
I have the Deere service manual and other than needing to pull the engine to access the crank seal, it does not look like too bad a job.
My only concern is if the crank shaft is grooved. A replacement seal will do no good.
Anyone with experience with this engine, especially the PTO side crank seal, please share your experience.
Engine has 900 hours.
