322 2000 RPM rear pto oil

Anyone know what oil goes in the gearbox for a rear 2000 rpm pto attachment for a 322? Or what manual this would be under? I have TM1277 but its not included.

Usually JD API GL-5 gear oil, which is 80W-90 or 90

Assume this is not the PTO from the hydrostatic tranny the OP is asking about, but not sure.
Which attachment would help?

Not the stub that sticks out of the rear axle. This 2000rpm pto attaches to that stub shaft through a gearbox and electric clutch for a tiller. I won't be putting gear oil in the hydrostat system. Never hurts to clarify though. Surprisingly I couldn't find anything regarding this

Gear oil for the tiller.. look in the manual for the tiller. Do you have a model no. for the tiller?

No, not the tiller, just the gearbox between the rear axle and the tiller. BM16675

Maybe we will get to the bottom of this yet. That "gear box" I believe is integral to the hydrostatic transaxle and has the same fluid as the tranny. Low vis Hy-Gard.

Or is there a separate drain plug and oil filler hole?

Sorry beenthere, but the OP is talking about about the gearbox reduction drive that set aft of the rear electric PTO clutch which is aft the actual transmission/axle/pump/ on a 322 which is similar to a 318/33X/420/430 rear systems. It is used for the mechanical driven tiller. It would not be there for there for the PTO driven blower on the rear mounted dump/hydraulic dump MCS unit.

There is a transfer case attached to the transaxle (shown in reply #7) that the electric PTO attaches to (shown here). No oil in it.

Kish: Do you have a drawing of that reduction drive as I'm curious and don't see it in jdparts. tks.
