318 starter runs without key on

Had the 318 running, it sat for about month. Put a battery in it, and turned the key. Nothing. Idiot lights came on. But no click or anything. Took the battery out and waited a day, when I put the battery back in, the starter took off as soon as the negative side was connected. Have looked for bare wires, but can't seem to find anything out of the ordinary. Any help?

Might check the ignitions switch. Could be stuck in the start position.

I think those have small solenoids on the start also it may be stuck.

Disconnect the small wire on the starter solenoid, if the starter runs as soon as the battery cables are hooked up, it's in the solenoid, if re-connecting the small wire after the battery is hooked up starts it, it's in the switch.
