Hey guys. First post. So I'm looking at my first tractor. I have it down to "3" if you count the 2 LS tractor as one. It's those, NH Boomer 37, or JD 3033R. I really want to like the 3135 but am very worried about ground clearance. What I'm going to be doing is maintaing my current 2.5 acres of yard, wetlands, woods (hopefully adding 5 to the back soon, all woods). I also heat with wood so winter trips hauling up to house, plowing my driveway, and helping my mom maintain her 12 acres (all woods) 40 minutes away. I'm worried the ground clearance on the 3135 is just to low for my uses. I'll be in woods half the time. And the 4140 has clearance but is so darn heavy with loader and loaded tires for what I'll do most the time (I do own a 10k equipment trailer) and yes I know weight to move snow is good. Honestly it's these concerns that have me looking at the other 2 manufacturers. Anyone with either model have input to help. I really want to love the LS but the loader subframes are holding me back. PS- the local LS dealer seems amazing!

Welcome!
I think we can all help here but I just went through this and have a 4145HC on the way.
We looked at the 3135 and really liked it but it had minimal ground clearance we thought as well! We decided on the 4145 and this was after seeing the 31 and 41 next to each other! I have a lot of yard and grass and cement driveways to deal with but I also know I wanted the weight and stoutness of the 4145

If you get R4 industrial tires you will be fine they will float a bit I feel and help distribute the weight!

You have a trailer well suited to handle the xr4145c or HC and I would imagine the truck to haul it!
The clearance is under 8 foot to the top of the cab!
Lastly I would go with the 31/41 the new common rail tier 4 diesel has a lot more power and a longer interval of regen! It will not be 50 hours from what I am hearing but will be better! Nice thing with the LS you can work through it!

We did a lot of research on this decision so ask away! I don't think you will have any issues going to the 41 series and you will be further ahead with 1 size larger

I've been looking at some of the same tractors except the 4150, 3135 and deere 3039r. I'm leaning towards the 4150 because it's only like 3k more than the 4140, the deere 3039r was about 8k more than the 4150 and even though the deere is the ideal size for me in terms of dimensions I'll try to figure out a way to make the larger 4150 work. I'm going to be cutting grass, doing some landscape work(new house being built on 13 acres, only 1.5 cleared), etc, etc. To me I just can't justify the price increase for the deere, yes it may have better resale value, and maybe easier to get parts but 8k is a lot of money and with the internet now hopefully parts wont be an issue. Both dealers are only 15 mins away so that isn't an issue for me. The small front tires had me concerned about the 3135 too, which lead me to the 4100 series and basically at my dealer the 3135hc was 25.2k and the 4150hc is 29.4k(tractor, cab, loader) so for 4400 more I get a lot more tractor. I'm going to be making a decision soon but right now I'm leaning towards the 4150. Also looked at a kioti nx4510hc it was a little more than the LS had a little less pto hp than the LS 4145, one year less warranty and about 2k more but did have more loader lift and capacity and backhoe specs so wasn't sure there and still may go back to it but the 50hp LS has me thinking now.

I am not sure the difference in loader capacity of the LS vs kioti but in the end I myself did not feel a few hundred pounds would hurt me!
Glad you like your LS dealer that's half the battle

Where did you find the ground clearance info for the LS XR3135HC? I looked and can't find it. I was trying to compare it to my old JD 3320 cab with the larger R4's

Honestly we found it by viewing the machine at a store! The dealer we chose did not have that model on his lots so we took a few weekend trips to compare look and actually each of us me and the Gf went back and looked at different times
