Tractor
Mahindra Max 26XL TLBMMM
Just wanted to put my thoughts out there of the tractor I bought March 2016. New Mahindra Max 26XL TLBMMM was my choice. Just turned 30 hours. Tractor has by far exceeded my expectations. The loader has more umphh than my neighbors B7800. The HST is smooth, both forward and reverse. Backhoe, FEL, and MMM are a breeze hooking and un-hooking. The only beach I have is with the gearbox for the MMM. Very difficult checking oil level. Have not had even one leak anywhere. Checking all bolts every 10hrs so far, not one loose. I find the seat pretty good, not hard to swivel for backhoe operation. The floorboard has plenty of room for me. Anybody looking for a small but powerful tractor should take a look at this model.

BO, the gearbox is what the pto shaft connects to on the mower. Manual says check oil level every 24hrs. Only problem is gearbox is under the deck, and checking oil level is a pita.

If it was mine, I'd check it when I first bought it, then maybe the first time I took it back off. Keeping a look at it occasionally to see if you could spot any leaking. My experience with these gearboxes is that they just about last forever for a homeowner. Commercially, where you are putting on mega hours on it, that is a different story. Not saying you should not check it more often, but I would not loose sleep over it. :)

I am wondering if we have the same mower deck. How do you check yours?
