Hello all,
Enthusiastic newbie with a 2012 3038e that is absolutely amazing. I'm using it to clear a future homestead and its perfect for removing saplings and grading the washboard effect out from under reforested pines. I have a fantastic dealer that sold it to me, too. Just one annoyance that neither of us have been able to crack the code on though- After a little use, it will just die and I have to set everything back out of engagement and then crank it twice. The first time it will just crank or crank and fire momentarily and die again. The second time it will fire off and I'm back at it for just enough time for me to forget about it and then it will happen again. It was suggested that it was the seat cutout, but I've ruled that out because it will also happen if I leave it running disengaged to jump off and do something else for a moment or two. The auto primer circuit is clicking away nicely when this is happening, so It just seems like a fuel flow issue, but before I start getting into things myself because that's what I do in these situations, I wanted to ask the voices of experience out there.
Details that may matter:
bought with 186 hrs
now at 220 hrs
There was mention by the dealer of water intrusion in the tank that was apparently dealt with before the sale
I've drained the white plastic fuel bowl/access port on the right lower side of the engine multiple times
As I type it makes me want to drain the tank and confirm for myself that there's no more water, but that aside, any other thoughts?
Thanks, Jason
