I am looking at the john deere 3032e and the 3038e tractors Also thinking about the bobcat ct235. My questions about the john deeres are how much to get the cruise control and can you set any speed with it or just full speed for the range you are in? how usable is the two range hydro drive compaired to a three range hydro? MY biggest concern with it is no temp gauge has anyone added any kind of aftermarket gauge to watch temp when working tractor hard? I am moving up from a kubota l2250 gear and will be mostly mowing. I like the bobcat but have always wanted a Deere thanks Randy

You can set the cruise at any speed....I do believe.

As for cost, I think it's about $200.

The 32e and 38e are economy tractors. I like them. They are on the light side, especially the 38e. About 38hp weighing around 2000lbs.

I would always choose a 3/range tractor over 2 everytime but, it's not really in my price range.

Other tractors to consider may be the 3005 or 4005(3 range) or the 3320 which I do believe is...3 range hydro.

Well I believe at PTO rpm in low range you can run about 6 mph +/-, which IMO is more than fast enough for mowing and still achieving a nice cut. The cruise will allow you to set the speed at anything within the capabilities of the range that your in. Over on mytractorforum.com, someone added a temp gauge to a John Deere. I believe it was a 2000 series model. It's over there in the sticky if you want to take a look.
