3032E INITIAL SERVICE

Just had my new 3032E tractor delivered and absolutely love the machine. Easy to use and enough power to handle on job on my 4 acres of land. My dealer said to change oil at 24 hours despite what the manual says. What are some of you other 3032E owners doing? How long before initial oil change and what type oil are you using after the initial oil change?

A full service, including hydraulic oil change is usually do at the first 50 hrs...not sure where your dealer got the 24 number from? What does the manual read?

The manual states the engine oil nees to be changed every 200 hours, it does not state when to change hydralic oil. Transmission is every 400 hours. Correction, my dealer says to change the oil at 25 hours, not 24.

On the inside of the hood there should be a sticker that states to change the engine and hydraulic oil after the first 50 hours. It's possible Deere has replaced that sticker on your newer model tractor, but on mine, and many other owners tractors, it has that sticker. The general consensus, neither based on the manual or much else, is to go ahead and change both at 50 hours. Mainly because you want to get the fine metal shavings and grounds that come off of those parts after they've had time to wear in. Don't be surprised if you find that your hydraulic oil out of the transmission and axle has a slight silverish sparkle to it, or that you find metal shavings in your front axle. It's all normal.

Your tranny oil is your "hydralic" oil.

I'll probablly go 150 or so I am @ 110hr & have not changed it yet.manual says 200, hood says 200. Every think they might just want your money..? I actually just thought of that..makes me wonder. I will marked the hrs on the filter.
