A dealer in my area has given me a very good price on a 3030 with cab. Does any one know for SURE if it will fit in a seven foot garage door. We measured and it looks like the tallest part of the cab is in the front and it will fit (barely). Also dealer says mid mount mower on 3030 is so noisy in the cab
the last customer he sold the combo to took it off and used rfm. I have never seen a 3030 cab with loader in person, how do you like mount of control lever?

I own a B3030 cab. Mine was just shy of 7 feet, approximately 83 inches with the R4 industrial tires. The turf tires are taller so you would be at or above 84 inches with turfs. That is why I ordered industrial tires on mine.

The antenna and roof mounted turn signal lights will hit as they extend above the cab. I had to loosen the bolts and swing them down to clear my 7 foot garage door. I also had to remove the inside garage door handle as it scraped on the roof and trim the lock shaft. It is an extremely tight fit.

You really would want a 7-1/2 foot or higher garage door.

The remote loader control is excellent. It is much better than the stock standard lever. You can reach it from the arm rest. I love it. I use it with both the front end loader and also a blade in the winter.

I have the 60" MMM but I don't currently use it. I have tried it and the noise did not seem any worse than other mid mount mowers. The cab is not real silent anyway, you do get engine noise. It does deaden some sound which you can tell when you open the cab door. The real cab benefit for me anyway is the heat in the winter and air conditioning in the summer. Also it keep the dust off you if you are doing any loader work or mowing in dusty conditions.

FYI,

Thanks for the timely reply! I live in a heavily restricted area and must keep any tractor in my garage. My quick
measure at the dealer were close to yours.I measured my garage opening and if I put 2x4 under the door I have at least 84". My drive into the garage is absolutely flat so I think it would fit.

I started out looking at a used 7510 gear w/loader and quickly escalated to 7800 new. After many sessions re reading here on all things "B" I decided maybe a 2630 would be more for me.

After tormenting dealers in my area I discovered they're all pretty close on prices. I made an off hand comment at one dealer that " I would love that cab with air", he said "I'll price it so you will REALLY want it". He was correct.

Now that the possibility exists I am wondering a few things .

1.Does the cab make yours fill "tippy"?

2.Is the glass susceptible to tree limb scratches?

3.Whatare your thoughts on the 3 range hydro, all I
have ever used is dual?

4.Does the air work well enough to make me quit using
my zero turn to cut grass?

I have a never ending project that will involve hundreds
of trips in and out of a woods that is rather steep and often damp, with the bonus of sticks and briars to run over. A couple of years ago I had a deere 790 that would easily make the trip but kept me white knuckled all the time.It never raised a tire , just scared me a lot If the 3030 cab was any worse I would have to opt for probably a 2630. I feel the deere was higher enter of gravity but am unsure.

1) Compared to the Bx1500 that I also used to own the center of gravity is certainly higher on the B3030 and it does feel more tippy. I have never driven a regular B3030 so I am not sure how much difference the "feel" is between a cab and non-cab version. I have my B3030 rear tires loaded with Rim Guard but I have still had some white knuckle moments. I generally try to go straight up and down hills if at all possible. When I first got the B3030 even slight hills made me nervous but now that I am used to it there is no problem.

2) I don't take my B3030 directly in the woods but I have worked near some fir trees with the branchest hitting against the cab glass and I did not get any scratches from them. I would say the cab glass would be similar to a car window in terms of ease of scratching it.

3) The 3 range hydro is great. The BX1500 has a 2 range and most stuff I had to do in the low range. With the B3030 most everything is done in the middle range. When I want to push something heavy with the loader I use low range but medium is for most everything else. The High range is mostly for transport but I did plow snow with the kubota quickhitch and Kubota front blade this past winter in high range a couple of times when there was a light snow fall and it did fine and fast to :).

4) I don't think any compact tractor mid mount or rear finish mower give as nice a cut as a ZTR. For one thing the B3030 mid mount mower is full ground contact so it leaves roller marks on the lawn. The ZTR will also cut the lawn much faster than a tractor will. I guess if I was mowing say a couple of acres or more with the ZTR and it was 90 degrees I might switch to the B3030 ;-). The air does work fantastic.
