3016 HST Filter

I plan on doing the 100 hour service tomorrow. Tonight I went out to have a look at where the HST filter is located. For those of you have replaced this filter, did you find that it was easy enough to remove from beneath the tractor, or did you remove the right rear wheel?

Now that I have completed the 100 hour service, I thought I would report back in case anyone searches in the future. The HST filter is tough to get at, however, you do not need to remove the right rear wheel. I will say having a Fram filter wrench (FM105) will certainly help to remove the old filter.

I haven't done the 50 hr. on my eMax yet but it looks like I might have to remove a hydraulic hose to get to the filter, at least it looks like it will be a lot easier to do it that way. Might be able to do it without doing that but it seems pretty tight up in there.

Who knows? You have a fairly new animal, built on a very different design from the Mitsubishi built models. So far I don't think there are enough eMax owners on this site who have reached the 50 hr. mark. I would look for several ways to Sunday to remove the filter without removing the hose. Let us know how it turns out.
