Am I the only one out there complaining about the pedal pressure on my
3000 series ?
I recently picked up this 3000 series about a month ago... and really like the way it performs... but **** that pedal pressure... it takes any comfort level that you did have out of the equation.
My POS John Deer with a Kohler single 16hp Command engine was more
comfortable than this because it did not require constant foot pressure.
Any tips... on lessening the foot pressure ....this thing is not fun for 3 hours.

yours should have cruise control. thats the only help i have for you. other than that, i did not like my 3k after a year and got rid of it for a 2072. its a much heavier built tractor and i dont use my feet at all so they can go wherever they want. what model did you buy and what kind of condition and stuff?

Cruise Control.... now that would solve my problem of leg cramps,
from constant pressure on foot pedal.
I don't know if I have it ?
I bought this "as is " by my choice, because it was a dealer trade in, and it looked rough, but only exactly had 400 hours on it .
I gave it a through cleaning ... as in almost complete disassembly... and a full
lube job, and it runs great.... cuts well.
Dealer said it was a 2003.... so I am wondering if engine is a replacement.
Anyways... I know very little about this tractor... and how would Cruise work ?
Thanks for your help.

Wait... it does have some kind of switch lever under the throttle / choke
levers .... could this be it ?
It has a symbol of a lock.... and then an arrow forward .... ?

this link - PDF Manual Web Archive

is for a 2002-2004 3204 owner's manual. If your machine model is different from that, repost here and we can most likely get a link to the "correct" manual... or post the full model number off the plate/decal in the cavity under the tilting seat.
But, take time to read it thoroughly - there's a lot of specifics in there you will need to know for best use/maintenance.

Yep, that's the CC lever, but regardless, the motion control pedals shouldn't require that kind of force. I'd lube up the pivot points and possibly replace the dampener strut (little shock absorber looking thing on the linkage).
