Heat cycles in a tire? Compared to what, circulating in an engine?

My question was what causes antifreeze to degrade(loose its ability to not withstand freezing)? Is it how old the stuff gets, or is it heat cycles it see's in an engine? My point is, will it go bad in a tire like it does in a car?

I don't think it would go bad, but I put some cost figures together and found that if you can buy the -40 windshield washer fluid for $1 per gallon which some claim to get it is much cheaper than using antifreeze. Even cheaper is buying the methanol and mixing 20% with water will give you minus 25F or so freeze protection and it would take 25% antifreeze to give you the same protection. There have been numerous post on pricing 55 gal drums or methanol for around $3 per gallon vs $8-12 for antifreeze.

That is what is in windshield washer fluid and cant see that it hurts the rubber hoses or the windshield gasket material so I would say at the watered down solution that it wont harm the rubber tire. Sunlight will damage it more so from the outside than what might be happening on the inside.

My LS dealer wanted $600.00 . I ended up getting a tire company come to my place to fill the tires. Ended up being around $750.00. Expensive but at least its done.
