Well my B7500 now has 301 hours. I picked up the filters for the 300 hour service, shhh don't tell but I did some of it with 299 hours.
The dealer's recommendation. Change oil, fuel and hydro filters. Check the front axle fluid and mine was nearly a quart low, the dealer seen no reason to change the fluid. Check air cleaner, mine was plum nasty and I blew it out with the compressor, and I'll end up replacing it this week. Check bolts, grease as needed.
Well all is done but the hydro filter and fuel filter, I was short on time and will take care of these chores later in the week or this weekend.
Oh, when buying the filters, fluids, I'd picked up a Kubota hat and the dealer said Merry Christmas! Great folks there.

I got a service bulletin letter from my Kubota dealer via the mail some time back. It looks like an internal circulation document for mechanics and not owners. It says to pay particular attention to air filter element servicing. The filter should be checked after operation in dusty areas and on a frequent basis but don't over do it. The secondary filter screen should NEVER have any dirt on it. It also says to wipe the sealing areas clean and also to WIPE the filter housing out with a damp rag and not to ever let dirt fall into the inside of the filter. The filter itself should be tapped on a hard surface and then blown out from the inside with regulated shop air--never blow on the outside. If there is any reason to suspect the filter is compromised it should be replaced.
Tractors work in the dirt, they need a clean filter. Mine has been filthy every time I checked it. I have never seen dirt on the secondary element (the one the JD dealer told some one in a recent thread that Kubotas don't have cuz they got themselves a book that says so /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif). I am going with a new air filter at my next oil change/service interval. J

The inner filter looked brand new on mine after 300 hours. I couldn't figure that out but now I know...it's supposed to be that way.

Yes, it should never be dirty or even have any dirt on it. If it does there has been a failure of the primary filter. The bulletin also said that the air hose and it's condition and the clamps should be checked for proper installation at each service interval to prevent dirty air entering downstream of the filters. Oh, one other thing, it said never to blow the filter housing out but to wipe it out with a cloth. I did mention that part but not the fact that it said not to blow the housing (case) out. By the housing I don't mean the filter unit but the black plastic container the filter is contained within. J
