Moved the gage to about 1/3 of a tank on each tank! Gees... to fill my two tanks on the Ford truck will be about $100.00! Yes... there is a reason why it has two gas tanks... 302 CI and 308 rear end are still 17 MPG at best!

Look at it this way. It's better MPG than my friends old 77 F350 with a 460cid and a 4bbl gets. He's lucky to get 5-6 MPG.

I don't feel too bad now... heard the stories of folks filling the boat gas tanks over the holiday weekend... BOAT (break out another thousand) is true!

Boats are a hole in the water that we throw money into. Sort of like the reverse of a pool.

Till yesterday I had an 06 F-150 Supercab 4wd with a 5.4 auto and a 3.73 rear end that if I was lucky I woudl conssistently get 15 mpg. Traded it yesterday for a 07 Ranger reg cab 4wd with a 3.0 v6 auto that will hopefully get mush better mileage than the F-150 did.
The F-150 had a 26 gallon tank, or about $80 every week to fill it up.

I wish those big dollars went to our economy. I think much of what we pay goes straight to Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, and the other big producers.

hopefully its paid for and that is your only cost.

I'm waiting for gas to hit 4 bux a gallon.

I think that will be my chance to get the Humvee I've always wanted at a price I could afford.

But I wont be able to afford to fill it, LOL.

I just traded a Chevy S10 4x4 with a 4.3L V6 for a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 with a 4.7L V8. S10 never got over 19 mpg no matter how I drove it, Ram has gotten 20.3 in the first 250 miles. Both are automatic transmissions.
