Based on the Unimog 3-way dump design, looks like someone is selling one for behind a tractor. Looks interesting. Dumps to either side or out the back...

I saw one on Ebay for around $3,000 but can't remember if that was the bid level or a Buy-it-now price.

Not promoting these guys, just found the concept interesting... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I would REALLY like one of those, but I'd want a smaller version sized for homeowners.

Maybe 46" wide (42" interior) and about 7' long. In my mind, to make it ideal, it would have to fit down trails and be a few inches narrower than a typical tractor (to make it easier to turn in tight spots). I'd also want smaller wheels to lower the overall height, and a detachable ramp to slide things out of the back such as trees that are balled & burlaped.

So who is going to volunteer to build it?

And I wonder if the kits available from places like Northern could be modified to do a side tilt as well as a back tilt? Heck, I'd settle for one that dumped to the back and just one side!!!

I wonder about changing pins, seems like too many moving parts, cheers FMK

Taylor Pittsburg (now owned by King Kutter) builds several sizes of 3 ways. They usually have at least one at the Louisville show next week.

They look like a neat package I'll say that.

Henro are you planning on getting one for each of your tractors? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Don

I LOVE these side dump trailers, but the Pronovost are still too big. The smallest of the SIDE dumping units they have is 62" wide. That makes it wider than any of my tractors (except maybe the old ones). I have some narrow paths and I doubt I could even get a trailer that wide between the trees.

I'd still be looking for one that is slightly narrower than the tractor. My NH is about 48" and the Kubota is probably just under 60"?

With R4 tires my B2910 is under 54 inches I am pretty sure. Turfs would be a little wider...Not sure which you have...

Henro, Three Rivers Tractor in Sewickley used to sell the Pronovost trailers. Give them a call, maybe they have one in stock.

Henro . . . I have R4s. I never measured the overall width with the loader installed, but was guessing that the overall width of the tractor was just under 60", now that I think about it, it is actually 60" because of the bucket.

I really think it would be great to have a side dump trailer, but I also think it should be the width of the tractor or slightly less (at least for my property). I'm sure that a real farmer might not take his tractors down curving narrow semi-groomed paths between trees with a trailer, but that is exactly where I end up taking my tractors.

Now if someone would build an "estate" version of these 3 way dump trailers, I would buy one!!!
