3 way dimmer on both ends?

Any electricians on here?

Is there any reason that I can't use a 3 way dimmer on both ends of a 3 way circuit (e.g., top of stairs and bottom)? I checked Leviton's dimmer wiring diagrams for 3 ways, and they only show a regular 3-way switch at the opposite end from the dimmer.

I got a Leviton dimmer for a two switch light control circuit (a dimmer at each end) at Lowes, they work great. One end is the "master" (the end with the connection to the bulb) and it has leds on it for the set level. The other end can turn it on or off and adjust the brightness, but no leds. Should be a standard part at Lowes.
