TYM T474
I've got a 2022 TYM 474 and had a good year with it so far. Been doing lots of loader work, and now I'm looking to use 3-point hitch to do some tilling. To my dismay, it doesn't raise up and down. I tried while sitting (and i can see the back level go up and down to), but not working from either location. Anyone else have this issue? thank you

There is usually a little knob you can turn somewheres in front of and below the seat. This knob controls the strength the 3PT hydraulics have. Sorry I cant remember the name of it, something like 3PT lift control knob. See if you can find it and turn that knob, try 3PT.

Sometimes that gets turned all the way down and the lift is disabled.

If it has a draft control lever try moving that to a different position to see if the 3 point works then.

Just to clear about that knob, since is probably most misunderstood control on a tractor. That knob only controls the 3 pt DOWN speed. Fully closed, and it won't lower. However, it will still allow it to raise, regardless if it's fully closed or not.

Unless of course the 3 pt are already at full height, so they can't raise anymore but with the knob fully closed, it won't lower either causing the impression that the 3 pt doesn't work.

Thanks for that. Honestly I have never touched mine I just remember others on the forum posting about it as a fix.

All it does is control the lowering speed of an implement. The heavier the implement is the more you want it closed so it don't slam down.

On SOME machines, like the JD 1025R and maybe this TYM, the valve (usually called ROD or rate of drop valve) will stop the 3PH from raising it if is closed. I was a disbeliever too, but was proven wrong.
