on my XG3025, the 3 pt lift doesn't start up until I get the lever about half way up. I asked the mechanic at the dealer about it, and he said that's typical for new tractors the way they're plumbed it takes longer for the pump to get the oil back there.....which of course I'm not buying that. I've already decided that guy won't ever work on my tractor, but I digress....

so, how's your 3 pt lift, I'm used to my old Ford starting up as soon as I started the lever moving, and the pump on that thing was awful....

I have to play with knob under the seat that is pto control

The valve should control the speed of "drop" of the 3 point. My 3 point lift begins as soon as the lever is moved, even just a little. It will come up at the same speed regardless of the valve position(fast or slow)

That valve will also lock out the 3 point completely

yeah this valve doesn't stay where I put it either, it seems to unscrew all by itself. I'm doing my 50 hour service Monday, I'm going to see if I can figure something out. I know this valve controls the speed it drops, but it isn't supposed to effect the 'lift' right?

My 3-point position control lever is all the way forward - my rear blade sits firmly planted on the ground - the 3-point lower arms will begin to lift when the position control lever is about 1/6 of the way towards being full back. In other words - when I have pulled the lever back about an inch.

The valve beside my seat controls the speed of rise or fall of the 3-point lower arms. It has NOTHING to do with "when" the 3-point arms will respond to the position control lever. It ONLY controls the speed.

yep, got my book out and read through that section. nothing to do with when it starts to raise, even with the really poor translation from Korean to English ;)

That's how my 3PL works. About half way 'forward' to lift.

It is very precise when lowering and maintaining the desired position, though. It's never bothered me in the 5 years I've had my 4105.

I haven't had anything on the rear enough to be able to comment. The MMM acts about as you're describing though. Movement upwards is delayed after pulling the lever back.

Do you have an attachment on when you are trying this? If you have no attachment on the lift arms, and they are lowered all the way, they should move instantaneously when you move the lever. If you have an attachment on that holds the arms up a little, the valve won't move until it gets to the position where the arms are.
