3 point lift - sporaticly

My 2310 has been trouble free for the last 3 years, so now I guess it is time for me to quick reading and ask a question.

The 3 point lift is behaving strangely. The tension on the 3 point handle appears looser than normal but lift functions correctly when manually handled, but when the lift is lowered and left in place it slowly raises up a little, then a little more, until the implement is raised to the max. Is it a simple as tightening the handle? or is there something that is need'n tightening on the inside?

I have checked and changed the fluid (and the levels) and all seems fine. Suggestions and/or feedback would be appreciated.

Is the lift HANDLE moveing then the actual 3PH? or does the handle stay put but the lift arms raise?

I'm sorry I can't exactly picture the problem.

yes the handle is movin'

the lift handle raises wich in turn appears to cause the 3PH to raise... it is weird, the lift handle will creep up a little then wait (1-2 seconds) then creep up again... then repeat untill the 3PH is all the way up.

Tighten the nut on the lift handle, its loose and causing it to have the misterious creep as I call it.
dont over tighten
