3 Point hitch broke! L2800

My L2800 with the updated valve for the 3 point has stopped working right. I was mowing along, went to pick up the mower and nothing. I played with the lever and it still would not work. I had the lever pulled back on my way to the garage dragging the mower to investigate then all the sudden it picked up halfway to the garage. I decided to try it again, so I set the mower down, started again and went to pick it up awhile later and nothing again. I then took the mower off, put on the backhoe (3 point arms down in float so it did not matter) did a job with it, went out today to take the hoe off to go to the dealer and it started working again! What is the deal with this thing? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Sounds like you have a defective valve or maybe low on hyd fluid.

Hyd. fluid OK. Dealer looked at it and said maybe a small piece of silicone came off on the inside where the valve bolts down and blocked a passage. BS? He said if it did it again to bring it back up and he would tear into it more.

That has happened more than once. It is usually when a tech gets carried away and puts to much silicone.
