New Holland TK100M
I am a new user of tractors with 3 point attachments. I just purchased a New Holland TK100 and it has the draw bar and a 3 point hitch. Since I do not have a fork lift I thought it might be good to have a 3 point fork lift attachment for the few times I would use it. I know it would be very limited as to what it can be used for since it would not lift very high. I was thinking about using it to lift my disk to possibly change blades or bearings. The lift capacity of my tractor at the 3 point hitch is 4,050 pounds, so it is more than I would need since my disk is about 2,000 pounds. Is this just a waste of money?

Not a waste of money.
I use my forks on the 3 ph a lot. Have them fabbed to pick up with the quick hitch (iMatch) for the 3 ph as well as attached to the FEL when needed.

I think a 3 point forklift mast would be a very valuable tool to have, especially if the tractor has no loader. Masts can be had fairly cheaply from forklift outfits and easily converted to 3ph.
I have one but havent converted to work on my tractor it just yet.

I bought a Woods/Dual last year at a sale. Woods no longer makes them so sales must not have been high, but a very useful tool none the less. When I was looking for one they seemed to be kind of scarce.

I'm looking at 3pth forks now for moving palletized firewood, but I've been told that if you do not have perfectly flat ground they're a problem to use. I think a hydraulic top link is a necessity on uneven ground.

I move all my wood on pallets, and my ground isn't perfectly flat. I added the hyd top link and that improved moving pallets by a large factor. Heat 100% with wood. Have pics if interested. (I sometimes feel I post too many pics :) )

You are correct, a hydraulic top link makes life a whole bunch easier with one of these attachments.

I have looked at rear forks that are solidly attached - IOW the forks don't pivot on the frame & stay parallel to each other - and I can see where these would be a bear to allign on uneven ground without TNT (hydraulic, not the other kind). Many of the FEL fork attachments have a pivot mount that allows the forks to be at different angles. I would think these would be a lot easier on uneven ground if you had just a hyd top link or the patience to diddle with the turnbuckle type top link adjustment every time you load up.

I made an adapter to use my quick attach forks on the rear. Great for heavy lifts.

I use mine all the time, I'm never on even ground but I take it slow and if I have to I'll adjust my non hydraulic top link. I can see why a hydraulic one would be incredibly helpful but its definitely not necessary. I do plan on adding one though.
