Hello,

I have recently purchased a Danuser EP6 Hydraulic Post Hole Digger that I'll be using with my Kubota L4240 on my LA854 loader on a quick attach mount. I have two sets of rear hydraulics with float valves. I also have the third function valve on my loader.

I'm told I should run the Post Hole Digger off one of the rear valves because the flow from the third function valve is not constant and the flow volume is not as great as the rear valves. I'm also told that I should use 3/4" I.D. lines so I don't restrict the flow volume and so I don't generate excessive heat due to friction in the lines.

I'm working on obtaining the lines to connect from one of the rear valves to the post hole digger on the loader quick attach plate and I'm having a little trouble. Pre-made 3/4" lines in appropriate lengths are somewhat uncommon though I've found 180" lines at Surplus Center however the quick disconnects that go on the ends of those lines all say they're for 1/2" connectors which I assume is the size of the threaded end on the line. Will the connectors on the ends of the 3/4" lines fit 1/2" quick disconnects? If so, is there any benefit to going with 3/4" lines?

Thanks in advance for any help on this.

Dan

What is the port size on the remotes, and the port size on the Post Hole Digger?

I doubt if you will lose much efficiency using 1/2 hose.

Even using the same size QD as the hose size, The QD will restrict the flow somewhat.

You could use 3/4 QD on the 1/2 in hose for less restriction.

If your smallest port is 3/8 in, that is you limiting factor. The larger hose will offer less restriction, but not a big factor in a short hose run.

What this designed for a Skid Steer with high flow hydraulics? 3/4" hose seem overkill. I would think 1/2" would be enough.
