Ok, before I call dealer in the morning, the hand throttle returns to lowest setting
When released. I went out to clear mail box, tractor was running fine, just before
Coming in, motor started shaking, rpm痴 dropped down, then stalled several times.
Limped back, then the motor stopped shaking and was running fine, but when I raised
the rpm痴 it rises, but when handle is released, handle returns to lowest setting.

Possibly cold related?

I suggest waiting one or two days until abnormally frigid temperatures depart.

Throttle tension is an ongoing problem with BX tractors. We routinely add a second 8mm not to the bottom of the throttle lever shaft at predelivery because a single locknut (factory part) is inadequate. Your fuel issue is probably gelling or water (ice) in the fuel. Is your fuel treated?

Does the hand throttle make it's way back down due to vibrations from the motor? If so, you need to tighten up the friction adjusters on the throttle. Diesel equipment usually has some sort of friction plate(s) on the throttle to hold it in place with all the vibration. I had to tweak this on my previous B2920.

No, I’m new to diesel motors, I wasn’t informed to treat it.

No, it’s not from the vibration, it actually feels and returns like a cars gas pedal.

Odd, but maybe the spring that is supposed to create friction has gotten caught up and wound up due to the nuts coming loose as RickB mentioned. If you can get a look under there, it should be very obvious.

Remove the cowl cover as if you were accessing the battery.

Rick, you hit the nail ( nut ) on the head ! The nut was loose. I tightened it up, and now it’s fine. You mentioned a 8mm nut to add, should I put a lock nut? Or just another regular nut?
