John Deere 3520, John Deere X749
Well I picked up the new machine last weekend. I had previously inked a deal for an X749 with a different dealer but they tried to trade for one and after trying found out that there was only 2 new ones left in the entire country still for sale. The dealership that had them knew what they had and I ended up having to travel a bit and pay a little more but in the end it was worth it. I'm assuming that JD is going to find out that there is a demand for the Diesel, AWS, 4WD version in the x700 line. Since they don't make it anymore I have seen the used ones go for more than new. The lawn is still soft so I haven't really put it through it's paces but I did take it up a 45 degree grade and it didn't even come close to spinning a tire, unreal. I think it is also safe to say that the last one is gone because another TBN member contacted me to find out where I found mine and promptly bought the remaining one left at that dealer. Looks like this will last me for many, many years to come.

Now if it would only warm up so I can start mowing some grass.

Congrats, looks like a very nice unit. Looks like the stable is getting full of green and yellow. The all wheel steer makes a big difference in maneuverability I have a smaller version AWS, power steering would be nice, your tractor will last a long time, enjoy. It sure has been a long season for snow in Wisconsin this year time for a melt down.

I think you will find it to be a great mower, might want to think about getting the 3ph and rear pto too. I get alot of use out of mine with the attachments in close quarters work, kind of suprizing how useful it is. I like not having to run the larger tractors across the lawn areas, that has been a rare ocurrence since getting the 749 with 3ph.

I know, after driving this thing I'm starting to wonder how much I will use my 3520. I really can't believe the traction this thing has. Although I don't think I could ever do without the loader on my 3520.

I had a X495 aws. I wished it had front wheel assist. So I sold it and bought a 4310. The x495 was handy but I need the loader capacity of the 4310.

Nice tractor and Good luck!!
