2N/9N?

The tractor came w/ a 5 ft cutter in fair shape. The tractor has already been converted to 12 volt. I plane to break it down, clean it up and paint it the 2N grey. It runs good and the hydraulics work fine. It could use a tune up. I traded a breeding to our Paso Fino stallion (a $750 value) for the tractor. Looks like a 44-47 2N. That pic that shows the oil can and starter.. look aboce that big welsch plug and read the sn on the flat 1x4 area. All 9n and 2n sn's start with 9N.

it Realy looks like the 2n i had, i had the same problem deciding if it was a 2n or a 9n, somwhere i fould how to determie the difference i think it had something to do with th wheel lugs. i had a very hard time readint the S# as it was not stamped very deep. MIne was in somewhat better shape than yours, was still a 6 volt, POSITIVE GROUND. thing always started like the battery was just about dead(new battery) but that was the 6 v , thing always started tho even in the coldest weather. finally had to up grade as my old arms and legs could not take the clutching, shifting and the Very hard steering. sure do miss that thing tho. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
