I bought this tractor new for 13200 with a loader. I think I got a pretty good deal. After yesterday I dunno how great of a deal it was :( I was brushogging and when I went to reverse the tractor died so I didnt think to much of it a started right back up, looked at the guages the temp guage was a little warm but I dont know how hot theses things run. Well about 10 min later the guage went just inside the red and the coolant light came on and I shut it down.
Well on futher inspection after I looked at the coolant resevoir and it was empty. So started to panick cause I knew I checked that about 3hrs ago when I started to brushhog. I traced some coolant lines and were you drain the coolant at, the hose to the motor was off. So I loosen the clamps that wasnt really tight to begin with and try to put back on the hose and the little plastic nipple breaks on me  So now after a great many cuss words I walk about a mile to my truck and go pick up a fitting to connect the two hose ends and bypassing the coolant drain. So after adding some coolant I fire the tractor back up and I notice on the way out the tractor starts bluish white smoking out of the exhaust. The tractor is running fine but smoking.
I have to bring the tractor in today to my dealer it only has 6 hrs on it. Any ideas what is wrong with it and will this be covered under warranty if this thing is messed up bad. Sorry for the long post and any info wil;l be greatly appreciated

Sorry to hear of your troubles. I hope you don't have head gasket issues since it ran hot. If it does end up needing a HG make sure the head isn't warped as well.....

I'll let someone else chime in on what may be wrong, but brand new and 6 hours...I have to think your dealer will make things right, I'd be fired up mad too if I were in your shoes, but take solace in the fact that you do have a warranty. I'd ask for a free service or oil change for your trouble though, nothing like having to waste a lot of valuable time when you buy something new...that's why we buy new, to avoid that.

When I bought my new tractor, a couple of minor issues arose. These were due to bolts that weren't tight.

Just as I don't trust the guys at the lube/oil change shop to do a thorough job; I don't trust the assembly line workers to correctly do their job. Nor, can I trust the mechanics at my dealer to do everything right.

When new, my tractor's fan shroud loosened, slipped down into the plastic fan blades, and was shredded. After the dealer, fixed it, (ha); I noticed the fan belt was installed on the hub, and not the pulley.

Be sure to check, and double-check your work, and the work of others. We owners need to be the final inspectors.

I know when I bought my tractor the dealer pulled it in the bay and checked everything out making sure bolts and clamps were tight, along with fluid levels. Warranty should cover this issue. Nothing negligent on your part. Let us know how it goes.

When using a brush hog it is not unusual to collect debris in front of the radiator. This can happen very quickly. Just make sure that is not the cause of overheating. I usually have to hose down the radiator about every three hours to prevent overheating. Just my two cents worth. Good luck

Congratzz on the new tractor !

However... you should be cleaning off the debris from the radiator screen.
Also the hose that you ripped in two is the radiator coolant drain valve, which tells me that you were mowing a lot of vines sticks ect.....

The tractor was doing its job just fine, hopefully the heads not warped !

Good luck:)

I clean mine a different way. I use compressed air from the back of the radiator. I find if you use water it turns into mud which is worse.
