Hey everyone.

I'm trying to think of something useful and easy to do with a hho tank that was given to me. It's still very good and solid.

I don't really want to make a smoker. I thought about cutting it in half and making it a blasting cabinet and using the other for a parts washer. But it's so big and I don't have a lot of garage space to designate to it.

Maybe a fuel storage tank? But I don't use that much diesel and it could break down before I get a chance to spend it all.

Another idea was a mobile woodburner trailer kind of thing to take around my property or my friend's farm for burning things with having an open pit.

Leaf burner? Dump cart?

Any other ideas that would be cool and not super complicated?

Or I'll just sell it. Haha. It's sitting in the bed of my cucv and I need to think of something to do with it.

I have two. Or had. A friend took one to make a septic tank for a Bunkie up north.

They may actually be better for farm fuel than a round tank. Sit's closer to the building and less air exposure and condensation of the fuel. Not sure if my fuel guys would fill one in that function.

A couple farmer's I know use them for diesel, have it delivered thus saving money and it's convenient.
As a kid we had one for gasoline with a hand pump you turned. It had a gauge on it.
By the 60s gas stations started opening that sold gas cheaper.

I made a Maple syrup evaporator out of one.

I put short stubby legs on one and cut the rounded part off of the top. Made a great woodbox, the dirt would stay somewhat contained.

Another tank made a great trash burner. I stood it on one end, with the outlet on the bottom for a water drain. I cut and hinged a square opening about 2/3's of the way up the side so it was easy to put paper in then I put a stack pipe in the highest fill inlet.

Smash it with your front end loader,, then,,,
line your truck bed with it the next time you take scrap to the recycling center,,,

Just because it is a 250 gallon tank, you don't have to put 250 gallons in it.
Just throw 50 gals in and monitor how long it takes to use it.
IF you heat with oil and your tank is outside, then you really don't need this tank as long as you can get your tractor beside it.

A friend cuts the ends off and uses the balance to re floor trailers.
Great source for sheet metal!
He drives his CUT over the opened tank to flatten it into flat plate for the trailer floors.
