2720 lift arms revisited - still hitting tires

Hi all , trying to find out more info on the 2720 lift arms if JD will replace the ones that hit my R4's? Tried the old tire switch a roo and gained about 1" that didn't help, big waste of time. Went to the JD dealer today and no 2720's. 2520's there still had the old style that hit the tires. Spent hours on the web looking up service numbers of LVA 803085 which I seen here and found one dealer that had them for around $360. Has anyone tried taking the old ones to a machine shop and cutting off the ends and making new ones ?

Hiya,

Search for a thread I started a few years ago on the early 25/2720 3pt arms, I think I called it "Calling all 2520 owners" or something like that. Talk with your dealer, I got mine to replace them as they hit even after I set the rears to wide and was using an i-Match.

Did see that and it got me thinking to see if there was any other ideas or problems , talked to a dealer on thursday and they said they'll see what they can do. I bought mine used from a friend it had 3 hrs on it when I got it, asked him to check with his dealer and of corse they said there is nothing they can do, talked with my local dealer and they looked at me like I had a turkey sitting on my head even after I walked to a 2520 and showed them the problem.Thanks for the reply.
