The cruse control won't stay down while using. The lever slowly returns to the top position and the tractor slows down until it stops. It was ok when new. 24 hours on tractor now. Anyone have any input on what would cause this? Also had the plastic blub come lose on gas filter. Lost 9 gallons of big D. one night. Must have came lose from factory. Other then that it is great. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

IMHO it seems that your cruise control need an adjustment. Probably just a bolt or two to retighten.

I agree with Stef, I use mine all the time when mowing and have not had a problem yet.

Congratulations on the New Tractor (I am new to the Forum). My 2630 had the same issue at about 8 hrs. My Dad brought it back from trying it out for about 20 minutes. He stated that the cruise would always return to the upright position when he was trying to set it. Spent few minutes of looking over the tractor only to discover the parking brake had been set in the highest position. It was not down far enough to cause any adverse affects other than the cruise would not work. I am a "newbie" but that would be my suggestion.

Thanks for the help guys. It turned out to be the brake as suggested by 3rdgenorange. Nut sure what I did but just set and released the brake a few times. Cruse worked fine after that effort. Did look for loose bolts first and could find none. This is a great forum to come for help. Thanks again. Sorry reply took so long. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

That's the way cruise control works.... apply brake and it slows down...keep applying and it will come to stop.
