I'm considering purchasing a 2615 with FEL. In my discussions with a couple dealers I've been told flat out that I do not want the MMM vs the 3 pt attach alternative. My place is small and mowing is going to be a signficant part of the work and the MMM would work out best for other family members.

My question is for those running the Mahindra MMM, have you had problems with them? If so, what problems? What would you recommend?

Did the dealers quote you a price on the mmm package? Something, I go through often is the fact that I am reluctant to quote the price on the mmm, because the mower is top of the line and buildt for Mahindra by Woods, but the top quality comes with the price to match. You get what you pay for but so often we lose the deal because of the higher price of the mower. Mahindra has used some other mowers in the past that did have a few problems, hence they changed mower suppliers to the Woods made mower.

I have a 2810HST and I also do my share of mowing. I use a King Kutter Rear discharge finish mower, 2 years old now and mowed over 2400 acres with no problems. I am sold on it 100% I use a quick hitch so change over is real quick. The place looks like a golf coarse when Im finished. They are reasonably priced at the Tractor Supply.

I have a 2615 with the 72" MMM. I believe mine was made for Mahindra by Bishop Industries (per the I.D. tag on the mower). The only issues I've had with mine is the rear height adjustment wheel bracket has gotten bent a couple of times. I'm pretty sure it's due the my yard being new and fairly rough, I got into the habit of raising the mower when backing up and haven't noticed a problem since.

Now as Galen said, they've used a couple different brands and apparently are now using Woods. So if it's a MMM you decide on Woods is a quality brand and that's what I would go with.

If you do go with the MMM be sure the dealer shows you how to take it off, put it back on, and adjust everything properly!

I'm happy to hear that the MMM is a quality unit. That at least puts it into the value equation. I really hope to avoid the "bought a problem" situation. No, the dealer did not price the MMM for me and I didn't push him on it, but I will inquire. For my situation, with the amount of cutting in I have to do when mowing a MMM will be so much easier to handle, and my neck has decided it doesn't respond well to looking over my shoulder for prolonged periods.

I'm favoring either the 2615 or the BX2660 at this point. Thank you all for your help!

I have a 2015 and I use the woods rdc54 rear finish mower and I am 100% sold on it. I can connect the 3 point mower in a few minutes with no strain or effort at all. I normally leave it off the tractor unless I am mowing. In addition, without the MMM, I have the better ground clearance when using the loader. Just my 2 cents, and a woman's perspective too :)

I noticed you have 2 acres. I have a 1.5 aces and would not consider my 2615 a good mowing machine for my yard. It痴 too big IMO. I use a 48 mower to mow and my 2615 for landscaping and at the country land. I'm not saying the cut quality would be bad but it seems like a large machine to cut most yards.

As I get into the property, I'll be reducing the lawn portion pretty substantially by landscaping and gardening and fruit trees. As well, I'll be doing a garage, shop, small mil apt building on the property too.

I'm sure you are right on the mowing size, but while a lot of its use will be mowing, I'm going to work it pretty hard on the other end and will likely get suggestions that a 2816 or B would be better for that. I may very well end up with a small mower, but hope to start with the tractor.:)

Other than the mower handling has it been a good machine for you?

I'm a rookie and everyones help here has kept me from the "by guess or by golly" method. Thanks!

The local Mahindra dealer told me the same thing about the MMM, but his reasoning was it was a major pain in the butt to get it on an off the tractor. He recommended the RFM. You should probably look at the B series over the BX series if you are going to be pulling the double duty of mowing and other tractor work - the MMM is real easy to remove and put back on.

I bought my 2615 used in April and have been very satisified. A friend just bought a 2816 (same motor if I am not mistaken) and has been very pleased.
