2615 hst diff pedal stuck

I have a 2005 mahindra 2615 hst with 450 hours on it. Today while operating it, the differential pedal wouldnt go down when I pressed on it initially to engage. When if finally engaged after I pushed down HARD, it worked fine but then the pedal would not disengage on its own. I had to manually reach down and pull the pedal up with my hand. It has never done this before. Is there an adjustment on the pedal? Also, would cold weather have anything to do with this problem? It was about 45 today when I was using tractor.

Thanks for the info. By adjusting the rod, I will be able to make the pedal come back up on its own as b/f?

I certainly hope so because mine is in the same condition. I looked under there and saw a rod with two nuts. Before I tackle the job I am hoping to learn from your experience. No use wasting time figuring it out myself when I can learn from you. I'm interested in the exact tools you used. Please, keep us informed.

Mine is a 2004 HST with the same problem. I don't think adjusting linkage will make a difference. I found I have to spray all the linkage and especially where the arm goes into the trans. with penetrant, work it up and down and spray again. There is no place to grease the arms where they pass thru the trans and That is where mine binds up and makes it hard to move. Same on the other side too for the 3pt lift lever. Any place linkage goes into the trans. it tends to get stiff and hard to move. I also added a return spring to assist in pulling up the diff lock pedal.

George has the answer. Lubricating all of your linkages should be a regular maintinance procedure.
