Snow 2555 HST Cab Handle Lock opening Issue

I will have this in a barn NEXT winter, I swear, but UNTIL then, HOW do I prevent the thumb push from freezing so that I can't open my door to get into the cab?!?!?

you cant. ive tried sprays. works for a day or so. i simply dont latch my cab door in winter.i close it till lock touches and leave it.

My 2555 is a barn queen. All fueled up with battery tender attached, pointed toward one of the 10' sectional doors. I give her a big hug every so often, too, when I walk past her all snuggled into her parking spot..... Her door latches work just fine.... If I did have to leave her outside [ gasp... the horror, the horror... !!! ], I'd try some white lithium grease...... probably keep her from not letting me back in... I redid an old '47 JohnDeere B once and had to set her outside one winter.. that was a BAD mistake. Hard on a tractor...

My equipment always stays under a lean to, never directly exposed to elements. Never used a battery tender, but do use block heater. My old tractor lasted 14 years with battery replaced once. The kioti is 2010 vintage and replaced battery this year. The only winter issue i have is freezing lock. Thats cause the inside cab in 75 and its 10 outside. While operating theres never an issue. It freezes lock overnight. I found that by not latching doir there is never an issue the next day.
