Just wanted to say thanks to everybody, and I mean that sincerly about all the advice/information I have been given regarding my first tractor purchase.
I have read countless posts and asked basic questions over and over ad nauseam. So based on what I am going to be doing with my tractor I opted for this configuration.
2520
200CX 53" loader
Ballast box
Turf ties
62D deck
iMatch hitch (added by dealer to close the deal)
While people might agree or disagree over such things as R3 verses R4 tires and tractor HP the one common thread I encounterd was people emphasizing the need to feel comfortable not only with the machine they are buying, but the dealer they are buying from. I feel I have accomplished both and told the dealer as much when I shook his hand.
The tractor was ordered and may take a week or longer to arrive. I was told that once the tractor is set up they will call me to take a look. Somebody from the dealership will spend time with me to acquaint me with everthing on the tractor. Later they will deliver the unit.
Thanks again,
smalltown
P.S. I will post the obligatory pictures when the tractor arrives.
