Hiya,
I had a 2520 several years ago, (Actually I regret selling it and looking to replace it as it was so handy for mowing and small stuff around the house but that's another subject)
I had a set of Horst light duty forks which weighed roughly 200 lbs and the max I could lift with it was 800 lbs of water softener salt and that only if I piled the bags close to the fork frame on the pallet. It drove OK but you could tell it was at the limit of the loader and chassis with that ~1000Lb load. I managed to get about 1200Lbs off the ground once, I had to tip the pallet down, raise the loader lifting the rear of the pallet, tip down, raise, etc until the rear was high enough then use the curl to lift the load off the ground. It was not all that stable and I never did it again. The extra 200 lbs made a huge difference in how the little tractor reacted.
If you really need to lift 1600 Lb pallets often, look to a used forklift, they lift those kind of weight easily and safely because that is their only job. My buddy down the road has a Moffit I borrow if I need something big, it will lift upwards of 6K easily.
My 2 cents,
Tom
