2520 capable of pulling fairway gangs

Hi to all

A newbie here

We're considering buying a new JD 2520 FWD hydro and we (or I) have some concerns :

We currently (well until it got tried after 20 + years) are pulling 7 ground driven toro greensmaster fairway mowers with a JD 750 and my question is can the 2520 step right in and do the job or is a " light weight wanabe"

I don't want to stuck with the wrong tractor for the job.

Your thoughts and help on this is appreciated...

My 4010 pulled my 2900 # pickup up a slight hill today. The pickup (2wd) wouldn't budge on the wet soil and even skidded sideways and downhill. Usually, I can get it going by holding the handbrake pretty good to keep the right rear wheel from spinning. Didn't work today.

Just hitched a couple nylon straps to the tow points on the front of the pickup and then to the drawbar and pulled it up the hill with wife in pickup to release its brake. Tractor didn't spin at all.

Where you might have trouble is going slightly or totally crosshill with some heavy implements behind.

Read THIS post, then look at the picture Wayne_H posted. My 4110 has pulled that 7 gang mower on several occasions. It does have to be in low gear and it does work the tractor hard but it does get the job done...

Yes, it's a Toro setup, we also had a 3 gang Jacobson at one time also...

My 4110 is kind of like the new 2320...HERE is a picture with some specs. Basically I think you will have no trouble on relatively flat ground...

OOPPS I just re-read your post and you want info on Wayne's tractor...not mine!

His JD 4400 is 35hp, HST trans, 4WD, R4 tires

Basically like the new 3320/3520 machines...
